MGSA 2025 Awards & Scholarship Programs
The MGSA offers a variety of award programs to recognize the outstanding achievements of its members in their roles as professional golf course managers. These awards are one of the key ways the association showcases the vital work and dedication of golf course professionals. Several of these programs are generously sponsored—either fully or in part—by our valued industry partners. We are deeply appreciative of their support, which enables us to provide meaningful and tangible recognition to our members.
2025 MGSA Award Winners:
- Superintendent of the Year recipient is: Daniel Ciekiewicz, Superintendent at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club
- Assistant Superintendent of the Year recipient is: Amrick (Rick) Pannu, Assistant Superintendent at Southwood Golf & Country Club
Student Scholarship Winners for 2025 are:
- Carson Tiede who is the MGSA John B. Steel recipient and receives a Scholar’s Grant in the amount of $750.00
- Jackson Reimer who is the MGSA Dr. A. C. Ferguson recipient and receives a Scholar’s Grant in the amount of $750.00
- Taytem R. Eilers who is the MGSA George Kendall recipient and receives a Scholar’s Grant in the amount of $750.00
Congratulations to each award recipient. They will be presented with their award or scholarship cheque during the Manitoba Golf & Turf Conference Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 10, 2026, at the Hyatt House Winnipeg South.
