SUPERINTENDENT OF THE YEAR
Each year the M.G.S.A Board of Directors accepts
nominations from its members for the Superintendent of the Year Award. From
these nominations, the Board then selects their choice of the deserving
recipient based on the information provided by the nominees peers. The
successful candidate will be notified of their achievement, and will be
recognized as such at the Annual General Meeting.
CRITERIA
1 Nominee must be a member of the
M.G.S.A.
2 Nominee must be a Class A or B
Superintendent, and can be nominated by any member or non-member.
3 Nominee must hold a valid
pesticide applicators license.
4 Nominations must be forwarded to
the M.G.S.A office by August 31.
5 Unsuccessful nominees are eligible for nomination
in future years, provided the nominations are received by the
deadline date for the year in which they are re-nominated.
6 Nominations must include
i Name of nominee
ii Employing golf
Course
iii Nominator’s name
iv Supporting
documentation (minimum of 150 words) detailing the nominees
achievements, performances, etc.
v The following
statement:
“I hereby certify that the above named nominee has been informed of
their nomination, and has agreed to let their
nomination be submitted for Superintendent of the Year.”,
signed and dated by the nominator.
vi The names and
signatures of 2 current A or B Class members of the
M.G.S.A to attest to the nomination.
